Creative clutter

When you’re an independent artist, the creative process never really stops. There’s never a clear delineation between writing, rehearsing, and recording phases. We always have songs in development, and we always want to record the next thing, but you have to fit that in with rehearsing, gigging, planning, promoting, and LIFE. Having the chops to produce DIY recordings does afford some creative flexibility, but with great power comes great responsibility, as they say. You set your own bar of excellence and negotiate your own threshold for perfection. Performing arts can be particularly athletic, and creative stamina is a precious commodity, but we have always pushed ourselves to the limits for the love of music.
